Is the Spy Museum worth it?
2 -3 hours

Most visitors spend 2 -3 hours touring the permanent exhibition at the Spy Museum; 1 – 2 hours on the fifth floor and 1 hour on the fourth. NOTE: If you choose to take a break for lunch or can't finish the entire permanent exhibit, your ticket is good for all day. Most of these displays require time for concentrated reflection. While I understand that the museum needs to draw a larger admission profit to include families, I can say that the spy game is an annoyance to adults. Other than that, this museum is absolutely outstanding in every aspect and worth the money.ages 7 and up

While all children are welcome, the Museum's content is best suited for ages 7 and up. Families with Agents 10 & Under may want to check out our 90-minute Family Highlights Tour.

Are bags allowed in the Spy Museum

Large items, such as luggage and strollers larger than 30” length and 25” width and 43” height, are not permitted in the Museum exhibitions and must be stored in the Cloak Room.

Useful items:

  • Water in a closed container and wrapped snacks for breaks.
  • Camera.
  • Journal or sketchbook and related supplies.
  • A light layer in case it's super cold inside.

We suggest casual classics like the following: Jeans and a sweater. Jeans and a crop top with a jacket or light cardigan. A skirt, with tights if it's cold outside, and a sweater or short-sleeved top.

Why can’t you wear a backpack in a museum : The answer is to protect the artwork. Someone wearing a backpack in the traditional fashion could inadvertantly turn and brush into/knock over something with their backpack.
